Franchising

Welcome to the Franchise Section of our website.  It is set up to provide you with vital information about our franchise concept and allows you to contact us in case you like to pursue the idea or have additional questions.

A.  Three Major Concepts:

There is the Hofbräuhaus Brew Pub, a Hofbräuhaus Restaurant (without Brew Pub) and the Hofbräu Beer Hall/Beer Garden.

Hofbräuhaus Brew Pub

Although smaller in scale, it most closely resembles the original Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany, during the 19th Century when a Brewery was still part of the Hofbräuhaus and it was open to the public.

That is the intent of today’s Hofbräuhaus franchise concept.  It should accommodate 750 to 1,000+ guests.  The cost for such a project depends very much on location and the details of the facility.  Existing projects ran from $3.122 million to $11 million.  There are currently three such Hofbräuhauses in the US:  Newport, KY., Pittsburgh, PA and Chicago (Rosemont), IL.  These Brew Pubs brew their beers under the supervision of the  Hofbräu Brewery in Munich.  In addition, they sell a few seasonal beers from Munich.  Décor, food, dress is all covered in manuals that are part of the franchise.

Hofbräuhaus Restaurant

The size and description is the same as the Brew Pub, except there is no Brew Pub in it and all the beer is imported from Germany.  An example of such a Hofbräuhaus Restaurant is Las Vegas, NV.    Costs are similar except for saving about $1.2 to $1.5 million for the cost of the brewing equipment.

Hofbräu Beer Hall/Beer Garden

A smaller concept for 150 to 400 guests yet providing the ambiance and flavor of a real Hofbräuhaus. Cost is lower at between $890,000 and  $4.795 million depending on location and details of a particular facility.  These are not brew pubs and all beer comes from Hofbräu in Munich. Again details about décor, food, dress, etc.  is covered in manuals.
